June 2022 Monthly Meeting

Grief can come in many forms and affect us in countless ways: body, mind, and soul. It can be pushed to hidden in parts of our lives we rarely visit or show up in bursts that feel overwhelming. Grief is a human experience and response that deserves and needs tending. This presentation will offer an introduction to helpful vocabulary, myths/misconceptions, mind/body connections and mental health considerations. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore personal perspectives and ask questions in an empathetic and supportive environment.

​Natalie Jensen, a Supervisee in Social Work at Sunstone Counseling, utilizes integrative techniques when working with clients through a strength-based, whole person-centered approach. She has experience working in diverse locations, with a variety of cultural and identity considerations. Natalie specializes in working with adult individuals referencing grief and loss, trauma, PTS, stress management, life transitions, relationship and family dynamics, anxiety, depression, disruption of thoughts, feelings, and emotions. She incorporates aspects of IFS (Internal Family Systems), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), Somatic - mind/body connection, and psychodynamic practices as applicable. As a PESI certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Natalie adheres to compassionate and trauma informed care, supporting personal growth, empowerment, and improved well-being. Natalie is an active member of the NASW (National Association of Social Workers).
